mindfoodly Review: Humber

Sharing a meal is one of our favourite ways to spend time with the people we love. So when we heard Kate’s brother Nathan was going to be out of town for the weekend, leaving his partner Hollie on her lonesome, we saw the perfect opportunity to combine our two loves: food and family.

Our venue of choice was the café/restaurant/rooftop bar, Humber. We’d been once before (for breakfast with Matt’s sister) and we really enjoyed it, but this time we were keen to see what the lunch menu had to offer.

Kate went with the smashed avo from the all day breakfast menu, Matt had the Humber Po’boy hotdog and Hollie (after much agonising) eventually settled on the fish of the day.

Smashed avo: On soy & linseed sourdough w/ cracked black pepper + lemon vg, df

Humber Po’boy: Mild chorizo on a brioche hotdog roll we/ bacon, cheese, lime aioli + pico de gallo, served with hero fries

Fish of the day: Grilled or battered w/ Humber’s signature seafood nam jim, herb salad + hero fries

Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The only complaint? We couldn’t try more of the menu. Oh well, guess we’ll just have to come back!
