Here at mindfoodly we believe in being open and honest about our struggles. The longer we keep our pain in the dark the more power it has over us, and the harder it is to overcome.
Since launching mindfoodly we’ve heard from people fighting eating disorders, overcoming personal tragedy and wrestling with identity issues. Our stories have inspired them to share theirs—and their courage has inspired us.
That’s why we’re putting together this eBook. We want to challenge the shame, silence and stigma of eating disorders. But we can’t do it alone.
We’re looking for brave people to share their stories of living with an eating disorder. Your story doesn’t have to have a happy ending yet, victories-in-progress are just as inspiring. All we ask is that you’re honest, don’t sugarcoat anything, and don’t write anything that could be seen as condoning eating disorders or negative body image.
Featuring real stories and advice from The Moderation Movement, psychologist Dr Jessica Gray, and Body Positive Australia’s Fiona Sutherland, You Are Not Alone will prove that living with an ED doesn’t mean you have to hide, be ashamed or face it on your own.

Down the line we would like to post your real stories on the blog to let even more people know living with an ED doesn’t mean you have to hide, be ashamed or face it on your own.
(Note: We strongly encourage you to talk to your family and loved ones before sharing your story with us.)
